Please could you tell me where you obtained the death date for Thomas George Henfrey. I have been researching him and have found his death as a death at sea aboard the Zenobia on 4 December 1868. Many thanks
Thomas' date of death came from the cemetery records and the headstone (provided by the federal government). What is interesting is that Thomas served in the 17th Michigan infantry. For reasons unknown he was never formally mustered into the 3rd Michigan, possibly because of his age (he was 16 when the war broke out).
