Jackson to Matthew Baird. I believe the letter that you have transcribed from Matthew on Sept. 24th, is his response. Where did you find Matthew's letter?<br /><br />Also, you noted the confusion of the Carries and his brother Samuel. They did both marry a Carrie A., Town and Althouse respectively. I believe Baird's documents came into Charlton's hands from his mother's side of the family, the Althouses.
