Moses M. Hollister was born in 1835.
Moses was 26 years old and possibly living in Gratiot County, Michigan, when he enlisted in Company D on May 13, 1861. He was absent sick in the hospital from July of 1862 through November, and indeed probably remained hospitalized through the winter of 1862-63. He was listed as a patient in a hospital in Washington, DC, from February of 1863 through September.
Moses was listed as having deserted either on August 1, 1862, or October 3, 1863, from a hospital, probably in Washington, DC.
There is no further record, and no pension seems to be available.
